What is data storytelling?

#MyMomIsADataAnalyst

After ‘How is data represented?‘, in this fourth story of My mom is a data analyst, I look at data storytelling, with two new characters, a girl with a great passion for books and stories, and a mother who explains to her how to tell stories with data.

As always, the concepts are explained based on what was learned in the previous stories, and this time, we talk about the importance of storytelling to give context to the data collected, the different representations and other visual elements.

Many thanks to all of you who have contributed to making this story possible. I am really enjoying putting all my notes and sketches into these stories, illustrating and sharing them with everyone.

f you would like to participate, either by providing feedback, writing a short story about your field of expertise in data analysis, as an illustrator, translating to a new language or creating a new collection of stories about your own job, just send me a message via Twitter or LinkedIn, or leave a comment on this blog.
